Before Nicholson came along, most people thought juniper was a planet… Nicholson Gin was founded in 1736 and was one of the great spirit innovators, pioneering the invention of London Dry Gin and growing a global business which eventually sold in the 1980’s to what is now Pernod Ricard.
Hello Finch were engaged to develop a brand new look and feel for Nicholson following its acquisition by two entrepreneurs, Alex Johns and Steve Goldman.
Project Overview
Working with Corr Blimey on brand strategy and Schmick on creative photography and brand image, Hello Finch developed a bold new brand identity which championed the historic London birth of the brand on the banks of the River Thames.
A unique and playful tone of voice was created providing Nicholson, the original London dry and one of the oldest gin brands in the world, with a striking new language for the 21st Century. Old meets new. Memorable and unique.
